Edward Cullen, born Edward Masen, was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 20th, 1901. In 1918, he contracted the Spanish Influenza. Sitting on a hospital bed, paralized, a vampire: Carlisle Cullen found him, and turned him. As a newborn vampire, Edward fed on humans, but as he matured, he began to only feed off of those he deemed unworthy, and eventually, animals.

After spending a few years with the newly formed Cullen Clan, Edward broke off to pursue vigilanteism. He fed off of the wordt of society, but eventually returned to the Cullens and their vegitarian lifestyle. In 1933 Rosalie Hale joined and two years later Emmet McCartney joined.
